Mother & Mother's In Law Birthdays


I'm having a headache as I'm updating this. It must be the hot weather and me non-stop sweating. Even my specs falling off my nose. Or probably my weird craving for Ben & Jerry Chocolate ice cream or any chocolate flavour cake... but i'm still having my hingus kluar dari hidung cough. arghh....

That Sunday marked my mother's 58th year old birthday. Many many strangers think she is my sister instead of my mother. She is small and thin. Even though she has no illness, her worriness always triggers my alarm. She has low blood pressure and is underweight. haha.. best of all, she has been a housewife for god knows how long.

I was under the weather with super bad sore throat and watery nose. But I made it to my mom's lunch party at her request at Hajah Maimunah Geylang Serai. I requested her to fetch me from home since hubby was at work.

Brother came at the same time as us, sister was late for an house. That star-karaT~! Food at HM was okay. The service was okay until one of the server crashed into my dad and spilled asam pedas on his trouser. The atmosphere was noisy with a few young indonesia girls who kept on singing 'happy birthday' for an hour. The floor on the 2nd level was so slippery, i feared for my life.

Brother gave mom a birthday cake. Sister gave mom a microwave bowl. I gave mom an "Anna Sui" Eye and Lip Palette. Dad always gives mom things so we didn't know what he gives her this year, besides paying for the lunch.

The lunch ended and I went home to my mom's place and permanently parked myself at my bedroom until now. So as to say... I no longer staying at my own crib. =)

at Takashimaya Nursing Room

Yesterday marked my mother's inlaw 53th birthday. That was what hubby said of her age when I asked him "how old is your mother deaR?". He said he only guessed.

We started the day with a rush to the Gleneagles Hospital for my check up. Baby no.2 is fine, alive and growing fast. Dr/Chin warned me not to carry my son anymore as the babyno.2 head is facing downwards already. Jeez... i'll miss carrying him.

The day was grey and rain came and gone. Hubby brought me to eat at Lucky Plaza - Ayam Bakar and Ikan Bawal Bakar. So sedap! I like. Hubby was like a 5 year old child, drinking away 2 glasses of Soda Gembira. Crazy old man.

We spent the rest of the day, looking for his mother's gift before meeting her for dinner. It was tiring but I like retail exercise. Walking in and out of shops never bored me. At first, we were looking at watches. The watches I choose were kind of over the budget. The watches he choose didn't suit her at all.

Then we looked at handbags. We went to Mango, Zara and Guess to check out the variety and price. His sister didn't have time to look for her mother's gift. So I took pictures and mms her for choices.

After 2 hours of walking... hubby gave up on the idea of buying a handbag for his mom due to lack of cash. By then, I already made a purchase of a MNG shirt. Hee... SAHM nie asyik shopping ajer...

I told hubby to use our son's money first if he really has not much left. But he has to return back the money to his son, lah. It's not nice not to have a gift for someone special. That cheered him up and he purchased the MNG handbag that he liked for his mom to use. It's black and quite big and modern.

We went to Yishun next to meet up with her at Along's house and continued to wait for his sister for dinner. Dinner was at Lestari at blk 700+. We ordered a variety of food, mostly seafood. Hubby and I had to finished up the food after seeing a lot of leftover.

Hubby then gave the present to his mom and wished her, "happy birthday! Here's something from me, ila, abdurrahman and errr... aida". Tee hee hee, surprised, i didn't expect him to include my name, though... coz i sure didn't spend anything on her. hmmm....

the evening ended with a taxi ride home, both stomach about to burst and my son slept like there's no tomorrow.

Oh by the way, when is Mother's Day?

Next birthdays are My 2nd niece, Ayuni, My son and his fellow pal, Nursabilah.
