My First Time to KK Hospital

We spent the weekend over at my in-laws's house. We lent them our huge quiksilver bag with wheels for their trip to Malacca. They have a relative wedding to attend to, which unfortunately, my hubby and I couldn't make it.

We (hubby, i, bibikz, baby and my mom-in-law) went to boy's open house at his new flat over at yishun. It was our first time there and it was nicely renovated.

Anyway, I was awaken by my son's screaming cries at 4am. He slept with his grandparents that night. I instantly took him and woke my hubby up coz i needed to pee badly. When i returned back to the bedroom, my hubby was fully awaked and alarmed. He said our son was having fever. High fever. I took out our thermometer and checked his temperature.

It was 39.8 degrees celsius at 4am.

My hubby striped him and sponged him with cold water. He cried but that helped to bring down his temperature to 38.9 degrees celsius.

So after 'subur', we took a cab and proceeded on going to KK Hospital - Children A&E department. There were a few other babies/toddlers that were sick too, like having fever.

On the way to KKH, my son was babbling and yakking to himself non-stop (almost like telling the cab driver that he is sick and ya-da ya-da) until he fell asleeped by himself. He was still smiling and giggling at the doctor but after he took this panadol syrup (bandong colour), he started to whine.

He whined even more when we sponged him again and again. I made him drank a bottle of milk and he fell asleeped. Poor little guy.

Anyway, I didn't know KKH was so homey. It is so nice and modern. I didn't expect that at all. I thought..aiyah KKH no standard! (me very standard person mah) Lol!

After an hour of waiting under observation, I cleaned him up and changed his clothing. We went in again for further check. His temperature went down to 37.5 degree celsius. Safe to go home.

He whined the whole 2 days but still very playful. He sweats alot but when he is sleeping, he becomes hot again.

But now he is fine.

So back to KKH... We ate McD for breakfast. Can you believe it? There's McD in KKH! I didn't know that. There were so many shops in KKH compared to 2-3 shops in Gleneagles Hospital. Haha... I told hubby, if I were to give birth at KKH, I would be damn broke as each time i went for check-up, I'd sure buy a thing or two. Lol. and Still... I have to go under private gynae. I trust them better!

after all.. i am a very standard-able person. *go puke now*
