A) Spend too much?
It was a good weekend break. Unfortunately, I decided to come back to office for half a day today. And with that, I have 6 more days to clear by December. Woohoo!
So I chilled on Saturday morning with my baby and maid. Decorated my house with the $28 ribbon I bought for my curtains and finally brought out my Aussino bedsheet to be used today.
In the evening, we left baby and bibik and headed off to Geylang. Wah~ Isn't it supposed to be bazaar but I felt that the prices were quite steep. Marked up too much I guessed. But I do like some shops that sell nice vases and flowers.
I made do with this flower light and wooden wenge vase that costed $70. Then I bought this yellow tangkai thingy to go along... $8.00. Oklah, cheap. Then before rushing into boy's car, I managed to buy a pair of cushion cover orange color ... $10.00.
Altogether i spent $88. And it is supposed to be BAZAAR!! and that didn't include my baju kurungs yet (which I tailored made lah)
I bet if you start with $1000 cash also cannot buy enough things. *sigh*
So Overall for hari raya alone... I spent $700, from my own pocket ok. aiyah!
I only hope that some kind uncles and aunties will give me a green packet too.
B)Remp-IT
On Sunday, I again slacked with baby and bibikz. Bibikz went off to my mummy's house to bake a cake which she refered to as Roti. Don't know why. That left me to watch this movie with my sleeping baby.
Remp-It. It is a term used on mat motors for illegal racings in Malaysia. It has illegal racing, cool mats, weird minahs, sex, drugs and bettings. The common reality of mat motors ... eh wrong.. mat rempit.
Shocking, the sex scene was made to be so-real but I think they just play with the angle of the camera. It is like watching a cheap teenage movie rated D. Damn cheeky mode. Seriously. I feel slightly turn-off yet turn on. (hmmm). It is almost like a porno turned wrong.
I am just talking about the sex scene made to be so-real.
I guess it is the truth of all the truth. It hurts to know this thing is happening in our soceity. It is insulting to see that girls can be so cheap. For example, when one wins the race, the price is split between cash and a girl. I think this movie has a good agenda but with two different messages given out to audience.
Number 1 - For grown adults, we need to control or better still put a stop to the illegal racing and its lifestyle. Illegal racing is already so dangerous and its lifestyle is *sigh* sad.
Number 2 - Youngsters might get influence with the idea of being a mat rempit. The drive to be one and follow the lifestyle is very strong in the movie. They will think 'hey its cool to be one'.
Ok lah. So its my thought and I know I am not so saint-y but its my thought.
